Shopping For A Collar

No, not one like that

We went out shopping today to spend some vouchers we had been given for Christmas.

A while ago my husband expressed a desire to purchase a piece of jewellery for me.  Not just any piece,  a piece that must be worn at all times and only removed either by him or with his permission (with blanket permission for when I take a shower).

This will be a symbol of our commitment to each other and our love.  It is also to remind me of him and his dominance at all times, especially when we are apart.

We had a lot of fun looking around the stores together and finally decided on:

this

(the photo is a bit hard to see but hopefully you get the idea).

Afterwards, my husband said the following:

You know what I see in this?  The plain half represents me, the sparkly, pretty side represents you and the Sapphire heart brings us together

We are going to set aside a special time where he will fasten the pendant around my neck, effectively 'collaring' me.

The idea feels a bit strange to me at the moment, but I think I am going to love my new 'collar'.  Knowing what it represents and the fact that it will be our little secret.  It will be in plain view around my neck to the outside world, but only we will know its true meaning.

As a side note.  I was reminded of Christina's recent post today also.  At one point while we were out driving Rick pulled over to manoeuvre into a park.  He had basically stopped the car but had not yet pulled the hand brake or turned off the ignition.

What did I do?

Yep, you guessed it.  I undid my seat belt.

OOPS

I immediately got 'the look' accompanied with had I turned the ignition off??

  3. i wear a "collar" and a pendant that represents us too... but really, while it reminds me i am committed to him, to us, it doesn't stop the ache of being separated from him.

    1. Hi Fondles, I feel for you sweetie, you're in such a difficult situation where you can't be together when you want. Nothing can take away that ache, and I too feel it during times of separation.

These pieces hold a special place for us though don't they, because of all they represent. I can't wait until he puts mine on.

Yeah, the seat belt thing ... my stomach flipped, believe me - yikes! lol. Fortunately, as we were all but stopped, it was only the 'look' and a bit of a lecture - phew huh!

  5. What Willie said...so romantic! I hope your necklace gets more and more meaningful for you.

My husband is crazy ornery about seat belts. If I take mine off before he has turned off the ignition I get an earful. In fact, he has turned the car back on, made me put it on and then turned it back off. Ugh. I have learned b/c to cross him on this one even accidentally is to get my backside set on fire.

I'm hoping all you got was "the look." :)

    1. Hi Susie, Oh,it was soo romantic, I melted into a puddle lol

Yikes! MM is real serious about seat belt wearing huh? Thankfully, it was just the look. Mainly because we were basically all but stopped at the time. Had we been moving I'm sure it would have been a different story. Now that would have made for a very mixed day of emotions!

I think I am pretty good with the seatbelt wearing, but it just goes to show that all of us miss sometimes.

    1. Hi Minelle, thank you, I just love the pendant, and what it represents. I love that fact that it will have special meaning to me wearing it, and that he will be proud seeing me wear it.

I do always wear a seatbelt, I just made the mistake this time of taking it off a little too soon for his liking - eek!

  8. That's so lovely, Roz, both the sentiment and the collar. I would never have consented to a collar before Ward. He owns me completely, and I would be proud to wear his collar.

  13. Very nice! Michael bought me a piece of jewelry, a necklace, for that same purpose. I had to wear it all the time for the first month, then after that I could ask permission if I wanted to take it off, and now I wear it only when I want to or he asks me to do so. It's special to me and I love the meaning behind it. I hope you feel the same about yours. :)

    1. Hi Grace, thank you. It's going to hold a very special meaning for me and I know I'm going to love wearing it. We will set aside some special 'us' time this weekend when he will put it on me.

Actually, I think I remember reading a post from you on this. It's interesting to see you started out wearing it all the time and have now progressed to when you want to, or when he asks. I't will be interesting what 'rules' Rick institutes around me wearing it, but from what he has said, he intends it only to be taken off with permission (for now at least).

  15. Safety stuff like ....fire, and car related issues like seat belts are flammable issues for my posterior. The first punishment spanking I ever received was because I let the vehicle get below the "low gas" light which is something that he had been harping about for years...when it happened and he was empowered with HoH powers I got an education in safety issue compliance - one that I haven't forgotten. When I drive past gas stations where we typically fill up, my car seat tingles.
Love the necklace - very romantic, Roz :)

As I wrote on your other blog - what a beautiful heart for a beautiful person!
You are one very lucky girl.
I wouldn't think of it as a collar - but a reminder of how much you are loved. It IS a heart!! :0)
