I am most honoured and humbled to have been nominated by Pocahontas for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award with the following wonderful compliment.
"So the bloggers I have nominated are ones that have in some way left a lasting impression on me. Each in their own way has helped John and I to form our own version of ttwd. To them I an ever grateful for their willingness to open their hearts and minds, to pour out their life to help others. These men and women have taken the time to answer blogs or chat or talk on the phone to pull me back from the brink of quitting. Thank you! It just doesn't seen adequate."
The Rules
- Display the award logo on your blog
- Link back to the person who nominated you
- State 7 things about yourself
- Nominated 15 other bloggers for this award and link to them
- Notify those other bloggers of the nomination and the award's requirements
7 (boring) Things About Me
- I am the youngest of 3 siblings - I have 2 elder brothers
- I have a phobia of bees and wasps having been attacked by a swarm of bees as a child
- I am a tea addict
- I was born in the UK and our family emigrated to New Zealand when I was very young (hmm - that may explain the fact above LoL)
- I am a talker. When I was young my vocal chords grew too thick and I had to have surgery to thin them as it was affecting my ability to swallow etc. My family keeps telling me it happened due to over use!
- In college (high school) I had to write a poem as a class assignment and it was one chosen by a major newspaper for publication.
- I am blessed with a wonderful man in my life who never ceases to amaze me with his love and care of me (but you knew that one already :)
Nominations
I am going to bend the rules here. Ok, break the rules (because I'm not always good with rules :)
I am not going to nominate specific bloggers as you are all special and important to me. Instead, I invite anyone who would like to share some fun facts about themselves in the comments to do so :)

I can see how the vocal cord deal would lead to a lifetime of teasing.
ReplyDeleteI for one like that you talk a lot! :)
Hey...shouldn't you be sleeping??
DeleteHi Susie, the teasing actually mostly comes from my parents. How cruel is that? LoL Rick sometimes gets some mileage out of it as well!.
DeleteYou got me. It was about 1AM here I think when I posted this, but in my defence my HoH had not yet sent me to bed. I'm making the most of last few days of holiday.
Hugs
Roz
I'm with Susie...on both accounts! Sheesh Lady Get. To. Bed . !!!
ReplyDeleteAnyway...I"m the youngest of 5 . Two sisters . Two Brothers...I was the tie breaker ! My family likes to tease me that I am the way I am because of " Too much dipping in the genetic gene pool " ( all about the love in my house ) I tell them it took my parents 5 times before they finally got it right !
Enjoying my coffee 'with you' this frosty morning.
Love Willie
Hi Willie, sheesh! do I look like I need more than one HoH? LoL As I said to Susie, I was making the most of the last few days of holiday ... and I hadn't yet been told to go to bed. (I'm so glad Rick is also a night owl - he he).
DeleteFamily can be so nice can't they? I love your comeback though LoL
The weather here has been a bit mixed, but luckily or us, summer has reappeared for our last week of holiday.
Love and Hugs
Roz
I was also attacked by bees as a young child! Not a huge fan :) Thanks for playing :)

Roz
I am a coffee addict, but I still would like to visit New Zealand and Australia.
ReplyDeleteThese days I'm constantly looking at Melbourne, Australia through my TV, and seeing the nice warm weather on your side of the globe.
Hi Bas, I hope you do get to visit, I'm sure you would love it. Yes, parts of Australia are gripped in a terrible heat wave at the moment with tempretures in the 40's (celcius) causing problems, including numerous fires.

Hey Roz,
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Well deserved. I am another talker. Heck I got a job where I could talk all day long. There is an 11 year age difference between me and my baby sister. It was awesome. Like having your own real life doll.
Hugs,
TL
Hi TL. Thank you for the congrats :)
DeleteI guess it's probably no surprise most of us bloggers are talkers LoL.
I bet with that age gap it was a bit like having a real life doll, you must have have lots of fun. I often wonder what it would be like to have a sister.

Roz
Love that you are a talker...me too.
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait to hear what my relative shares with the family when he visits New Zealand. I have learned just a bit here. So I feel he is going to shine there!!
Hi Minelle, as I said to TL, I guess it's not much of a surprise that most of us are talkers LoL.
DeleteI hope your relative is enjoying it here and doing well here ... and that he returns with good reports of NZ of course :)

Very Deserved Award for you! I enjoyed reading more about you. I love tea and I just wrote recently about not being a fan of bees or wasps. Very sweet what you wrote about your man, too:)
ReplyDeleteHi SNP, thank you so much for your lovely comment. It made me smile :)
DeleteYay! Another tea drinker, I am in very good company! As for the bees, Rick and I were out this afternoon sitting in a park and were 'buzzed' a few times, just by a single bee but I freaked. He had to calm me and sternly tell me to stay still. I really do have a phobia!
Hugs
Roz
Wow congrats to you. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteThere is not even anything none interesting about me ;)
I have one younger brother
I have a phobia of anything that can smack my bottom

Hi Mustbecrazy, Thank you for the congrats and thanks for playing :)
DeleteI love your facts, not boring at all. The second one cracked me up LoL. How wonderful to have lived in so many different countries and seen so much of the world! Wow, to be able to speak 3 different languages fluently is amazing!
