Farewell To A Dear Friend


You honoured us with your presence and touched our hearts deeply.  Our lives are so much richer for having known you.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your life and for enriching mine.


Goodbye my dear friend.  Rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to Lisa and family, our thoughts are with you.  May you find peace, strength and comfort.

    I don't know if it's just me...but I find myself wanting to talk about him all the time. As if I will forget if I don't keep saying it. I wonder if others feel the same? When I read your post, a part of my heart relaxed. He is still with us for as long as we keep him alive.

    Oh Roz, that was beautiful. The first one, that sits in the corner of my mirror in memory of my best bud from when we were just weeks old until he lost his battle when we were 11. I haven't seen it anywhere else. It's very bittersweet.

This blogland is so beautiful, we've always known, but to see the love pouring out of everyone right now, there are no words to convey the beauty of it all.       Oh I know. I've been the same reading the posts.

      I am thankful for the fact that Bas got to meet his grandchild and thankful now that he is no longer suffering. This little corner of blogland is indeed beautiful, and Bas was one of the very special people who make it so. He will be greatly missed but will remain with us in our hearts and memories and his words.

    Thank you Roz for yoru email to let me know of his passing. It is such a sad time. My thoughts and prayers are with him and Lisa and his family. He will be missed. He will be remembered. And even now, he will continue to inspire.

      It is very sad and we are all feeling the loss greatly, but we know Bas wants us to remember him with smiles and laughter, not sadness. That will come in time.

      You are absolutely right. His words will continue to inspire and he will remain in our hearts and memories.
