Finally!

Hello blogland, yes I'm still here...I'm sure you gathered that from my comments on your posts lol. It's been a long time since I was here, too long and I just had the urge to connect with my friends and post.

I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween weekend. It's not huge here in NZ so we didn't celebrate. We did have a great weekend though, especially with the All Blacks winning the Rugby World Cup at the weekend :) Our little country is in full celebration mode let me tell you!

Things are going well here and we are now in spring and daylight saving time, not that you would know it right now. Generally though the weather has been nice, and warm lately and I love the longer days.

It's been so long since I have posted I'm not sure what to update you on. Life goes on as normal. Work seems very trying at the moment. Perhaps just a sign that we are coming to the end of the year and I need a break lol.

You may recall we have been nursing one of our cats through cancer. She is still with us and holding her own really well. It is almost two years since diagnosis! None of us can believe ut, including the vets!

Rick and I are doing well,  though I do miss the extra that a power dynamic brings. The extra closeness and intimacy. We have been enjoying playing though :)

We have attended a BDSM function out of curiosity. It was a very interesting night! What struck me (pun intended lol) is that although there were obvious Dominants and submissives, there were no real power dynamic displays and the atmosphere was light and everyone was having fun. I don't know what I expected really.

We recently purchased some new toys too including nipple clamps, a flogger and a wartenberg wheel. I'm not such a fan of the clamps, Rick is unfortunately lol. The wheel is awesome, well, depending on how it is used. It can be heavenly or evil.

I had been curious, but nervous about floggers for a while. Well, turns out I have a love /hate relationship with it. Used lightly I love it, but with a bit of force...wow! It's amazing the reach the thing has, there doesn't seem to be any place it can't reach lol.

Rick definitely took a shine to the flogger once he got the swing of it, so to speak, Unfortunately though, it broke. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not lol.

We also recently had the opportunity to meet another spanko couple in person. It was so great to be able to talk freely and share some experiences and I hope to meet up with them again.

I think that's most of the news from Rick and Rozzi land for now. I hope you are all doing well.

  1. Amazing that your cat is doing so well 2 years later! I hope that he beats the odds!

So happy to hear from you! Glad things are going along. How cool that you guys went to a club! You guys met another spanko couple? Wow that is such a wonderful thing! Are you planning another visit with them soon?

    1. Hi Minelle, thank you so much, and for your good wishes for our cat. She is doing amazing and is on daily steroids. No other treatment.

It was awesome to meet another couple. I do hope to meet with them again soon.

  2. So great to "see" you again, at your place, Roz. Is this an indication that you'll be back blogging more? I sure hope so. I'm not a fan of nipple clamps either and thankfully, neither is Mistress K. *smile

p.s. Can I ask a favor. I know it's been a while since you have been here, but would you consider adding me to your blog list?

    1. Hi sub hub, thank you so much :) You're lucky Mistress K isn't a fan of nipple clamps lol. As for the blog, we will see. I only have a tablet to work off which makes writing posts challenging. I also haven't quite figured out how to add and attach things. That's the only reason I haven't got you on my blogroll. As soon as I can figure it out, I will definitely add you :)

  3. How lovely to hear from you this way! Although you are so sweet to visit often with thoughtful comments, it's nice to come to your place.

All the new toys sound like Christmas at your house. Sorry to hear the flogger didn't hold up. Hope it wasn't that expensive. Not sure at all about nipple clamps. Am curious about the wheel, though.

    1. Hi Ella, thank you so much :) The flogger wasn't expensive, that's why it broke I think lol. Fortunately the clamps are more 'gentle' ones, but don't tell Rick I said so lol. Definitely not my favourite! The wheel is awesome when used lightly but can be ouchy with some pressure behind it.

  5. Hi Roz,

It's great to see your new post. I would never agree to nipple clamps, but floggers have always intrigued me. I'm not sure what a wartenberg wheel is, but if you like it, it must be cool!

Lucky you, having spring and daylight-savings time.

    1. Hi Hermoine, thank you so much :) Right now it seems we have reverted back to winter temporarily, just in time for a visit from Prince Charles and Camilla!

Nipple clamps are definitely not my favourite! The wheel is a small metal wheel with tiny teeth. When run over the body lighting it's like a sort of massage or light scratching...heavenly lol. However with pressure behind it the teeth start to bite!

Great news about you furry friend....You and i have similar tastes....i love that little wheelei thingy, of course there are some places that make me hold my breath....but i find it relaxing and arousing at the same time. You know by know i LOVE a good flogging....and as for nipple clamps...YUCK!
I envy you going to an event, Master and i are talking about it...so maybe....

    1. Hi Abby, thank you :) We do seem to be similar in many ways. I remember commenting to each other on naked kneeling and how we both struggled with it.

I totally relate on the wheel too. It is heaven and arousing, until he puts some pressure behind it!

The BDSM function was definitely interesting, and fun. Rick even spanked me there :)

Love the update and congrats to The Blacks (have no idea) but you seem pleased.

My friend's cat just past last week and she was diagnosed with cancer five years ago, so you probably have years left. Lucky girl.

I've always wanted to try the 'wheel' but things here have been bereft of anything so no sense buying a new toy to gather dust with all the rest. Nipple clamps have never and would never appear in my toy chest - I'll stick to pain in my ass. lol
I log the flogger, sorry yours broke.

Congratulations to the All Blacks, they're an amazing team, let's just not mention the England side.... I was gunning for the Welsh.
I love floggers and am fortunate enough to have a couple of Conina's. The wheel intrigues... perhaps you could divulge more? I don't think P will go for it as it's pointy.

I sorta described the wheel in my reply to Hermoine above. It is wonderful, depending on how it is used.

Bah humbug about the all concurring All Blacks...even with a biased umpire they were just too good for the Wallabies. Good news about your cat; we too are nursing one of ours through a life threatening heart disease and I know the joy of getting through one more day.

The All Blacks are great aren't they :) The country is in celebration mode at the moment. Their Haka is amazing too, it's a traditional Maori war dance.

I think the wheel is my favourite of the new toys. Unfortunately just lately play has been minimal, partly due to me hurting my neck (almost recovered now though) and circumstance.

I do miss the extra that a power dynamic brings, but it is sorta still there in some ways in the background. We are doing well though and many of the benefits of our DD dynamic remain, such as better communication etc,

We have been enjoying play though, although it does ebb and flow.

I think you are very brave attending something like that, but interested to hear how "normal " it was.

New toys are always fun to try out. I like clamps when used carefully. Anything is better than clothespegs! Very uncertain about the wheel - does it cut your skin? We tried a suede flogger but it wasn't much of a success. Perhaps we need one with a bit more oomph?!

Question - wasn't it embarrassing to be spanked in front of other people like that?

I can't tell you how nervous I was walking into the event. As for the spanking, there were different rooms with different 'things' going on in them. We were in an empty room at the time, although some people did pop their heads in briefly. I kept my head down so I couldn't see anyone lol.
