Internet Rules

From reading other blogs I notice that quite a number of DD wives have an internet allowance or curfew placed on them by their husbands and I have stupidly commented on this to my husband.  Yeah, I know - not a smart move!

Today my husband lectured warned me about my blogging and internet time (yikes!).

We were talking about my blog and others I had read and commented on (he keeps an eye on what I post on here) and he said that I was not to let it become an obsession or start feeling pressure to keep posting.  He told me if he saw this happening, or I started neglecting other tasks because I was on the computer he would ban me from it.  He even said he would post here himself telling readers he had banned me (oh boy!).

My husband's HoHy'ness has gone into hyper drive recently, or so it seems to me.  He has become more dominant generally and notices every (and I mean EVERY) tiny little thing I do and the tiniest bit of attitude.  I'm not quite sure what has brought this on, but it's like he has opened up the DD throttle to full!  Although it means having to watch my R&R's (rules and respect) more closely, it has made us even closer and has made me feel even more cared for.

I think I am going to have to be very careful with my use of the internet - I really, really don't want my husband to introduce an internet rule or to be banned!

Wish me luck. He is serious about this.

Oh, and if I suddenly disappear for a while you'll know why - my husband will tell you :(

  1. Ooh, good luck! I probably absolutely need limits on my computing time. But I'll learn from your post and not mention anything. :)

    1. Thanks Renee Rose,

Guess we both need to make sure it doesn't turn into a rule eh! Yes, definitely don't make my mistake and give him any ideas! (though I don't really think R needed any 'help' from me on this one!).

  2. The computer time rule is the hardest rule I have. After my last spanking, I do not think I will break it again (unless I am absolutely out of my mind). God Bless You and Yours, Belle L.

  3. Ooh, sorry you were in trouble. I gather from reading other blogs and comments that the internet rule is one of the hardest to keep to (and rates as one of the most detested rules!). I will be trying my best to make sure it doesn't end up on my rule list!

  4. So far I've managed to not spill the beans about a lot of DD wives having internet rules. Thankfully, Steve doesn't really read blogs unless I specifically ask him to read a post so the odds of him finding out from a blog is pretty slim.

He did threaten to take the modem once though. It originally started out with him threatening to put a password on it so I couldn't get online unless he was home and my chores were done. I thought I was being smart when I mentioned that seeing as the bill was in my name, all I had to do is call and say I'd forgot my password to get it reset. I didn't think of the fact that he could just take the modem to work with him. Unfortunately he did think of that.

    1. I seem to end up telling my husband too much about what I read on blogs. I know, not smart! Fortunately or unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) he doesn't need much help or inspiration from other HoH's lol. I don't think I'll mention removing the modem though! Isn't it annoying sometimes how they always get the last word!

I will be working hard to make sure internet time doesn't become a rule for me.

  5. This will NEVER be a rule for us. The Internet is in my name and I pay it. He pays the satrellite bill. So he can ban me from watching tv which I don't much, but he cannot take away the Internet. If he does I'll have it turned off and he won't be able to use it if his work needs him to. So yeah that will never be a rule for me. Even if we did DD. my husband doesn't believe women should ever have to obey their husbands anyway.

    1. Thank you for your comment Nicole. I appreciate your point of view, domestic discipline certainly isn't right for everyone. I wish you all the best.

  6. It's not that I'm totally against DD. if its what the woman wants and asks for it that's great! But some of the rules I guess I dont get. Like a bedtime or Internet limits. To me that's more childish. But I do agree whatever works for you is great and if you are 100% happy :)

    1. Thanks Nicole. I agree, it's what works for each couple.

I can understand your comment about rules seeming childish. It's hard to explain why having rules doesn't make me feel childish at all. All of the rules or guidelines my husband sets are designed to ensure harmony within our relationship and home and/or are for my safety and well being.

I know my husband does a great deal of thinking before introducing any rule (including how I may feel about it) and doesn't 'create' rules on a whim. Ultimately, I respect his decision.
